This is a hold up. Your money or your lives! Oh wait, just kidding.

Today, on my way to my bro's house from the Cannery, I stopped to get some gas. When I pulled in, I noticed a policewoman getting out of her car. I continued in (hoping she didn't notice my lack of blinker usage) and stopped by a pump and got out. Then I noticed a second policeman getting out of his car. The policewoman sneaked up to a phone booth and pulled her gun, keeping it low in front of her, while the policeman, also drawing his gun, started walking around the outskirts for the station.
At this point, one might think I should drive away. Because, even though the whole thing is playing out like a really bad movie, it could get dangerous. And a gas station is no place to watch a gun fight. But I didn't want to have to come back, so I started filling my tank and waited to see what would happen. Customers were still going in and out of the station, so I decided they must be closing in on one of the cars.
I was so wrong.
The policeman got a little closer. Over the loudspeaker a bored voice spoke:
"Hey...um...nothings wrong in here. We didn't set off the alarm."
The cop kept location. The policewoman continued her stance. The air thickened with tension. I felt like I was in a TV show.
"Really, we're all okay. Nothing's going on. I don't know why you're here."
Finally, one of the attendants (dressed like crap, doesn't that place have a dress code) physically came out and assured the policeman that nothing was happening.
At this point, my tank hit full, so I got in my car, tripped the odometer, and left. But I did pass a couple more police cars on their way to the station.
Right on time, guys.

Yeah, you'd hate to have to come back to get gas. What a drag that might have been.
