I love church analogies. Yesterday, I heard a good one. It went something like this, but I'll condense it.
An old couple went on a date. While they were in the car, they pulled up next to a car with a young couple in it. The young couple sat close to each other with the guys arm around the girl as he drove. [I can only assume these cars have front bench seats.] The wife of the older couple looked at her husband and said, "Remember when we used to sit like that? Why don't we do that anymore?"
The husband looked at her and said, "Well, I'm still here."
Then the Speaker said: Our Heavenly Father also is still there waiting for us to draw closer to him in prayer.
My thoughts during the talk: Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Did he really just use that analogy? Ha ha ha ha.

Oh dear... We should think of some great ones for the next time you have to speak :)
That's really something to think about.
