Snowshoeing

So, I had to go speak at a seminary class at Woodland Park. It started at 6am, so a couple friends came along and we went to breakfast afterwords and then headed up to the Crags to go snowshoeing.
Breakfast was phenomally good and snowshoeing was great.
These are my friends, Jennie and Brighton. I couldn't believe they were so willing to head out at 5 am with me. We all did a lot of falling and laughing.
I brought Maya with me. She loved the snow. I wish Kussje could have come, but I didn't want to risk her straining her hips. The snow was pretty deep and as you can see, Maya did a lot of bounding.

This is me trekking through the snow with Maya breaking the path for me.
All in all, a great day. I can't wait to head out in the snow again.

She's a Bernese Mountain Dog. Greatest dogs ever. They love the snow. I should have posted the picture of her sledding on her tummy down a hill.

Is that seriously how much snow you have this late in the year? I've never lived in Colorado, so I guess I honestly don't know. I'm glad you had a nice day in the snow. I miss snow shoeing, only every once in a while. I keep telling Stephan we should sell our snow shoes now that we live here.
