St. Louis

Hoorah! I made it through my first trip of March. I went to my cousin's wedding. It was beautiful. We also did a little sight seeing. I need to work on pulling my camera out more often, cuz I only took pics of the arch. I was quite impressed with the whole trip.
We went to the Grant Farm to see the beer clydesdales. But, boo, the farm was closed for the season. We did see them grazing. Instead we went over and went on a tour of White Haven, the farmhouse that Ulysses Grant owned, lived in, and pined for during his life. It was nice. Our tour guide was a bit off. She started off poetically telling us to imagine Julia (Julie? his future wife) seeing him for the first time as he rode up to the house on his stallion and she sat on the top balcony basking in the warmth of the afternoon sun blah blah blah. It was hokey and a little creepy, so we asked if that was historical and she said no. Probably an english major. Pshaw.
The Arch was very impressive. I liked it a lot and I'll post pics as soon as I get around to it. We didn't have much time to see it.
It drizzled and was freezing the next morning during my cuz's wedding. Very unfortunate. That scene from the Guns N Roses, November Rain music video when all the wedding guest stampede out of the rain kept running through my mind. Luckily, the reception was inside.
My cousin, Amy, looked absolutely beautiful.
I'll put pictures up soon. In the meantime, I'll be in D.C.
